Franchise News India,Franchise Latest News,The Chinese lighting company,Opple Lighting, which entered the Indian market six months ago, is aggressively expanding its footprint across the country to tap the rapidly growing LED lighting market. It is initially investing Rs 60 crore to expand its brand.
The company is also planning to open a factory in India over the next two-three years so that it can price its product range competitively over the rivals to gain market share.
“With an initial investment of Rs 60 crore, we will roll out 30 large-format exclusive Opple brand stores across the top 30 cities in India in the next two years,” Naveen Saxena, country head at Opple Lighting India, told Financial Chronicle. He said the company was targeting a sales turnover of Rs 450 crore from the Indian market over the next five years.
The company opened its first 1,800 sq ft large format exclusive Opple brand experience franchisee showroom in Chennai last year. It launched its second experience franchise showroom in Mumbai in February.
We have already identified Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Chandigarh — cities where we will open exclusive franchise stores shortly,” Saxena said.
The company sells a suite of over 200 LED products in the price range of Rs 150 up to Rs 40,000 a piece.
