Kolkata-based home furnishing brand Skipper Furnishings has recently opened a company-owned and company-operated store at Kanpur (UP) in Prabha market. Spread over an area of 3,000 sq.ft., the outlet stocks curtains, upholstery, cushions, wooden flooring, drapery rods, carpets and rugs, door mats, wallpapers, bed and bath products and other home decor items.

Talking about the expectations from Kanpur as a city, Tanay Agarwal, Director, Skipper Furnishings, said: “Kanpur as a city has tremendous prospect. We believe there was a vacuum for an upmarket home furnishing store in the city and people had to rush to Delhi or other bigger cities for home decor products. Skipper offers a one-stop solution for home decor in the city. This is one of our most well-designed stores.”

The store has been designed by Kanpur based interior designer, Gaurav Kapur.

Skipper Furnishings currently has 13 stores in the country.
