Leading digital imaging company Canon India Private Limited has rolled out its Image Express from Ahmedabad for leveraging its brand image in small towns. It will display products like cameras, camcorders, photo printers, inkjet and laser printers, scanners and projectors.
Speaking on the occasion, company President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr Kensaku Konishi said ” Image Express is a very important campaign for Canon as we aim to have stronger foothold in the tier two and three market. Canon has been in India for the last 12 years and has seen phenomenal success in the country. We now see immense growth opportunity in these small towns.
Commenting on the launch of the mobile campaign covering 16 states and 38 towns, Canon India Senior Vice President Mr Alok Bharadwaj said five years ago, 30 per cent of Canon’s revenues used to come from Tier II and III cities. Today these cities contribute 50 per cent of our revenues. Five years from now, 70 per cent of our business is expected to come from Tier II and III cities.
From Ahmedabad, the caravan will head to other cities like Baroda, Surat, Nasik, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Gwalior, Bhopal, Udaipur, Ranchi, Mysore etc before culminating in Bangalore.
