Franchise News India,Franchise News,Arvind to open First Gap franchise Store in India,Gap, a US multinational clothing and accessories retailer, is set to open its first store on Saturday at a South Delhi mall. It has partnered Arvind for the India entry, where the latter is looking at an investment of Rs 400 crore over five years.

Ismail Seyis, vice-president, Gap Global Franchise, and J Suresh, managing director at Arvind Lifestyle Brands, spoke to Digbijay Mishra.We are excited that Gap is now available to our Indian customers through the terrific partnership between Gap and Arvind. Through this partnership, we plan to open upto 40 stores across the country.” said J Suresh, MD and CEO, Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd.

“We are pleased to bring Gaps’ casual American style to customers in India and we have been encouraged by the positive response from our launch efforts thus far. We are looking forward to providing a unique branded shopping experience across India.” said Ismail Seyis, VP, Gap Franchise.

The store will be based in Select City Walk mall in Delhi. The store will have merchandise of Gap, GapKids and babyGap.The company is planning to open several stores of Gap in the first year of operations.
