Franchise News india, Franchise In India,Coffee World has revealed a 3-year plan to invest Bt360 million in another 100 coffee houses in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam with Yangon to be the site of its first branch in Indochina.
The company expected the number of its coffee houses to reach 200 in the next three years.
Darren White, managing director of GFA (Thailand) – the builder, operator and franchisor of Coffee World – said that about 50 new coffee houses will be opened in the first year via company investment and franchising. The first overseas outlet will be opened in Yangon, Myanmar before expanding gradually into other neighbouring countries. The company has already opened new outlets in Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China and India.
GFA (Thailand) operates 100 Coffee World stores in Thailand, of which 65 per cent are the company- owned with another 35 per cent under franchise. The proportion of franchised stores will increase to 40 per cent next year.
White said the company would spend Bt300 million in expansion while another Bt60 million will be earmarked for renovations of its 30 outlets in Thailand.
