The company currently has over 1,700 IHOP restaurants across 12 countries.
“We plan to open 20 outlets by 2025 in India. The approximate cost of opening each restaurant is around Rs 3.5 crore which does not include the realestate cost,” DineEquity Inc Vice President International Gary Moore told PTI.
He was speaking on the occasion of opening of the first of the twenty restaurants in Gurugram.
“The ongoing growth of IHOP and the introduction of this world-famous dining experience in India, this is a proud moment for us”, Moore said.
The company had last year signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Kwals Group subsidiary Kwals Catering Pvt Ltd to bring IHOP to India.
“We look forward to bringing this unique experience to the guests of our first India restaurant, and the many others to come throughout the country,” Kwals Group MD Sameer Lamba said.
