French luggage brand Delsey has opened its first boutique in Bangalore at Indira Nagar as part of the company’s strategy to grow business in India. Spread over 600 sq.ft., the outlet stocks the lines designed in Paris such as Helium, U-lite, and All Around from the travel collection as well as Oppono, Quarks, and Quarterback from the business collection along with travel accessories. This is the sixth boutique of the brand in India.
Commenting on the occasion, Frederic Cachera, Global CEO, Delsey, said: “Delsey offers high-fashion travel accessories for the style conscious traveller and has an unprecedented range of colours and collections to suit the global-minded Indian. We are very positive about the brand’s potential in India, and the new store in Bangalore is a significant addition to the five boutiques already established. In the coming few months, we are looking forward to opening stores in Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Kolkata.”
“Our teams are investing significantly into replicating the international success of Delsey in India. We regularly launch new innovative lines with French Touch design and a variety of appealing colour and passionately believe that Delsey is, and will continue to become the preferred brand for fashion-oriented consumers in India. Delsey has an experienced and dynamic team in India and we are confident that within the next 12 to 18 months the company will be among the top 3 international luggage brands in the country,” he added.
Delsey entered the Indian market in 2011, and is now further investing in India hoping to achieve a double-digit growth rate over the coming years in the country. It has plans to open stores in six locations in the metros and emerging cities. According to the company officials, the brand is present in all the five continents and in more than 130 countries.
