KFC Franchise In India,Franchise News India,Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has partnered with renowned fastfood brand, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), to start a delivery system for passengers.
The service will first be implemented in 12 trains passing through New Delhi railway station and soon be expanded into Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad (Kacheguda) and Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) stations over the next 10 days, ET reports.
During the initial run, KFC meals will be restricted to trains without pantry cars. There are plans to supply food onboard luxury trains such as Rajdhani and Duronto.
In order to place orders, passengers can call toll-free 18001034139, SMS ‘MEAL’ along with their PNR to 139 or visit the railway division’s official IRCTC website, Next Big What reported. A unique password will be sent to the customers’ phone number, which needs to be mentioned at the time of delivery. Orders must be placed two hours prior to the arrival at select stations.
“In India, train journeys and meals are inextricably linked and we are excited to bring KFC’s e-catering service to Indian railways. As a much-loved restaurant brand, we think that this initiative gives us a great opportunity to bring the craveable taste and quality of KFC to our fans, even when they are travelling. We intend to expand the service to other stations over the next few days,” Dhruv Kaul, chief marketing officer at KFC India, said.
