Marks & Spencer (M&S), the UK-based apparel retailer, has opened a new store at the Market City Mall in Pune, India. This is the retailer’s second store in the city. Spread across 19,000 sq. ft of retail space, the new store will showcase a range of fashion and accessories across women’s wear, men’s wear and kids wear. Popular M&S fashion ranges will include: Limited Collection, per una and Blue Harbour.

Martin Jones, CEO, Marks & Spencer Reliance India,said “Pune offers a good opportunity to grow the business in India with a population of over nine million. M&S has stepped up efforts to increase local sourcing and now procures over 50% to offer the right products at the right prices.” Marks & Spencer now has 21 stores in India and also plans to open eight new outlets this year.
