New York Fries is thrilled to announce that its first franchise will open in New Delhi, India this summer.
This is part of a multi-franchise deal with Naveen and Anita Vasisht, Shailendar Kaushik and Sameer Sharma, who plan to open 35 restaurants in the next five years across northern India.
“We believe in this brand and think New York Fries will be a fantastic addition to India,” says Naveen Vasisht. “The Indian market is primed for a premium French fry. The population already loves potatoes, where 77 per cent of meals contain a potato in some form. We can’t wait to introduce India to New York Fries’ fresh cut fries and poutine.”
“We have had India in our expansion plans for awhile but were waiting for the right partner to bring New York Fries to the Indian market,” says Craig Burt, vice president of New York Fries.
