NEW DELHI: PepsiCo has promoted company veteran Sanjeev Chadha as its chief executive officer for the Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region.
Chadha will oversee all aspects of the US beverage and snacks maker’s business in the AMEA region with immediate effect, the company announced from its New York headquarters on Monday. He succeeds Saad Abdul Latif, who passed away last month. Prior to this, Chadha was president of PepsiCo – Middle East and Africa. “His leadership, experience and deep knowledge of the business, the region and its people will help to continue to drive success in AMEA,” Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, said in a statement. AMEA is one of the largest and most profitable regions of PepsiCo. Chadha will continue to be based at its Dubai office. He will report to Nooyi.
