Frozen foods major, Scandic Food India, plans to expand its distribution network to 100 cities in the country by March 2010, besides commencing exports, said by a company official. It will increase the distribution network to 100 from 65 by March next year.
The company, which sells its products under the brand “Sil”, a household name in jams, has recently launched fruit beverages in four flavours – Happily Appily, Orange Oye, Mango Fantasy and Fruit Fusion, under the same brand name. Besides, it has other products like tomato ketchups, frozen foods and canned sweet corn.
Scandic, which is a subsidiary of Danish company, Good Foods, had acquired Sil from Marico, an FMCG company, last year. Scandic plans to expand its food business in India by introducing new and innovative products.
