The Seventh Continent, one of Russia’s largest retailers, plans a massive expansion in the domestic market this year.
According to the company’s plans, in 2010 it is going to open up to 11 supermarkets in the Moscow region as well as three hypermarkets, in particular in Vologda and Kaluga regions.
Last year 2009 the company opened five new stores, including two hypermarkets. At the end of December 2009 the chain is comprised of 142 stores, including 132 supermarkets and 10 hypermarkets.
“The Seventh Continent” was established in 1994 and currently develops the “The Seventh Continent” and “Our Hypermarket” brands. Most of the company’s stores located in Moscow and Moscow region.
