Franchise India News, Franchise News,VISAKHAPATNAM,Titan Company launched its first integrated format store housing watches, jewellery, eyewear and accessories under a single roof on VIP Road in the city on Friday. The integrated format store includes Titan’s in-house brands such as Tanishq, Helios, Fastrack and Titan Eyeplus spread over nearly 6600 sft.

Addressing a press meet before launching the store, Titan Company managing director Bhaskar Bhat said Titan has become the first specialty retailer to offer customers so many products across categories and brands in a mega store. “With consumers and their lifestyle habits at the core of Titan Company’s strategy, the name of the game has been delivery of a differentiated experience through our unique retail offering.”Talking about the reasons for opening the company’s first integrated store in the country in Vizag, Bhat said, “We’ve had two stores under one roof in many places, but this is the first time with all the brands in one building.”

“Vizag is a very modern and rapidly growing city. At the same time, space in a tier-2 city such as Vizag is relatively less expensive as compared to a high street in a large city. The main reason for starting the integrated store format was because the franchise, who has been doing business with us for nearly 25 years, expressed interest in having the four brands in a single building,” he explained.

“The store has started as an experiment, but we have no plans to replicate it as yet. We’ll be watching the progress for at least one year before going ahead in other cities,” he said, adding that Titan Company is targeting opening nearly 200 new stores in the country of which AP will have its fair share of stores. He also said the company doesn’t consider e-tailers as a threat but looks at e-commerce as an opportunity. He said out of the Rs 200 crore capex in the current fiscal, around Rs 6 crore will be on e-commerce operations.
