As per a company statement, Uninor’s first month-end subscriber numbers since the service launch in December 2009 was over 150,000 in Andhra Pradesh and 700,000 across South India. Uninor currently has its base in 23 districts, 423 towns and 1,328 villages in Andhra Pradesh, with six company owned outlets, 14 franchisee owned outlets and 99 trade outlets.
Uninor expanding in Andhra Pradesh through franchising
Uninor, the joint venture between Norway-based Telenor and real estate company Unitech, said it will open about 40 franchisee owned outlets in Andhra Pradesh this year.
