The adventure wear firm Woodland is planning to open another 10 stores in Kerala by the end of this fiscal, taking the total number of stores to 25. The stores will be opened mostly if tier 2 towns.

The decision is based on Woodland expecting a 30% growth in revenue in Kerala in the 2013-14 financial year. For the current fiscal, the Company is expecting to achieve sales revenues of Rs 55 crore from Kerala, against Rs 45 crore in the previous fiscal.

Nationally, the company is targeting Rs 1,000 crore sales turnover in 2013-14 financial year, by focusing on increasing its presence in tier 2 and 3 cities. At present there are 370 exclusive Woodland stores and 4,000 multi brand retailers selling Woodland products.

The revenue for the current fiscal is expected to touch Rs 800 crore, as against last year’s Rs 700 crore.
